Recommended Resources on MD Consult

The staff at MD Consult is always looking for ways to help users get the answer to their clinical questions in fewer clicks. Recommended Resource pages are just one way we’ve tried to streamline searching to get you to the answer faster.

On MD Consult, as on most Web sites, the most frequent queries make up a large percentage of the overall searches. When we started looking closely at web analytics several years ago, we found that the top 100 queries on MD Consult represented 5% of total search volume. For these top terms, tens or even hundreds of thousands pieces of content exist that contain the search term, which meant that pulling back search results could be slow, and even worse, the list of results could be overwhelming.

To increase the speed to finding the answer, we created “Recommended Resources” pages for the most common searches on MD Consult. These pages are created by our editorial staff, which includes experts in medical content along with healthcare professionals. READ MORE >>
