Heather Cullen

Editorial Director

After many years of editorial work in print publishing in both the commercial and non-profit sectors, I heeded the call of the web. My role with MD Consult allows me to bring content to a much larger audience than ever before in my career. Making sure that the most current and the best medical information is available to clinicians is my goal.

Pictured here is my dog, Holly, who is my top priority when I’m not working on MD Consult.

Lisa Grimm

Web Editor

I’ve been building, managing and producing websites around the world since the mid-1990s, for companies ranging from dot-coms that went bust to IT industry giants, before eventually ending up in STM-land. In addition to contributing to the MD Consult blog, I edit and update MD Consult’s News and Newsletter, as well as its Recommended Resources.

As an independent blogger and social media gadfly, I write about craft beer, horse racing and history for a number of outlets.  When not designing, coding, writing  or Tweeting, I can often be found at a soccer game or a museum with my family.

Tom Reller

Head of Corporate/Media Relations, Elsevier

As Vice President and Head of Global Corporate Relations at Elsevier, I am the primary media spokesman for Elsevier – responsible for the company’s relationships with media, analysts and other online/social media communities. I actively work with organizations that can help build Elsevier’s reputation and promote the many contributions Elsevier makes to Health and Science communities. These include partnerships developed through the Elsevier Foundation, where I am responsible for running programs benefitting the global nurse faculty profession.

My background is in media, public relations and public affairs.  I led public relations for Merrill Lynch’s Wealth Management division, having previously worked at Burson-Marsteller, one of the world’s largest PR agencies.  I began my career as an energy policy analyst for Washington Policy and Analysis, serving Japanese and Norwegian energy clients; and at Sister Cities International, a non-profit organization that pairs cities around the globe for cultural, educational and commercial development. I hold a MA in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University and a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
